It’s not often that we follow the exploits of today’s tennis stars in tournaments not of the Grand Slam variety. But, of course, there are exceptions to every rule and today we bring you one such exception via one of the sport’s absolute brightest stars: Iga Świątek. This weekend, Świątek took home the trophy at Indian Wells in California, besting Greece’s Maria Sakkari 6-4, 6-0 in straight sets. There’s also something very cool about Świątek opting to wear the 39mm 1908 instead of what the brand would consider to be a ladies’ model. We have spoken often about the need to make a watch a watch without the need for gendering.
